Anti-Theists
Although this writer does admire the intellectual stimulation of those that reason their beliefs, some have taken atheism to a new level. It is my point that although I do not take the existence of a god to be true, it does not mean that one, including myself, is anti-religion. The long cultural history of religion, monotheism, polytheism, along with many others, plays and has played an important role in human development. Sometimes, those who see religion used to commit evil in this world never mention that atheism has been used to do the same. To have a belief and expect another to accept it, sometimes by force, is a form of cultural imperialism. This is a major flaw of those feminists that want to liberate girls from cultural practices in countries of the global south, and then attack their critics with claims of closed mindedness and anti-diversity. A non-acceptance of religion for me does not mean I do not understand other beliefs, and it is assured that my job will never be to convert the world to my point of view. So it is that some with a lack of faith in an almighty are on a mission to do the same as those feminists, to crush established beliefs and homogenize the world to their point of view.

Atheism vs Agnostic
There seems to be some general confusion on the relation of the two terms agnostic and atheist. Most self proclaimed atheist assume correctly that their rejection of the claim of a god is because there is no empirical data. It seems that agnostics (Greek for without knowledge) are not accepting the claim of god, and they do not reject the existence of a god; they say they just don't know. While they do not accept the claim, regardless if they do not reject it, they are still atheists. Agnostics seam to be willing to say they don't know, not a theist, but they are not willing to say their atheist who say there is no data. Atheism is just a term that means that one is without a belief in a god; agnostics say they don't know. That also is a lack in belief in a god (aka- an atheist). This is written about in more detail in "Atheism: The Case Against God." Please, as this is a new BLOG, write questions that you would like me to cover in the future.
